Description

The district under consideration for the city of Cork is equipped with a GIS-based “Mapping Portal” that provides detailed spatial information, a functional Digital Twin (DT) to simulate and analyze various aspects of the district's operations, and an established EV-charging infrastructure to support electric mobility. However, it is important to note that no renewable energy sources (RES) have been installed in the area at this stage.

Demo Site Expected Impact

Given its retrofit need, the district purpose in TIPS4PED is to facilitate better decision making, predicated on evidence based and reliable planning actions for positive clean energy districts, together with an increased upskilling of urban planning capacity through digitalization and integrated management of data. Cork is a Mission City.
