The Self-Reporting Tool (SRT) is designed for EU-funded smart city projects to report on key performance results and related information. Project coordinators and other users use the SRT to upload data about the interventions carried out in their projects. These interventions can include a range of actions, such as constructing new energy-efficient buildings, refurbishing existing housing, implementing renewable energy technologies, and introducing mobility or ICT solutions.
The reported information is visualised as Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and can be downloaded for further analysis via the KPI page.
This data, collected under real-world conditions, offers stakeholders valuable insights to support the replication of successful interventions.
Additional background on the KPIs is available in the smart city project monitoring guidance, which can be found here.
The European Commission values the inclusion of European results and impacts of projects targeting the low-carbon transformation of the built environment. A database for such information is available under the name Smart Cities Marketplace. To make data provision easy, the SCM team has created an Excel tool that you can find below. This tool consists of data sheets in which basic project info can be provided, and data sheets for data describing the quantitative project goals and monitoring data. The projects that provide data will be visible on the Smart Cities Marketplace website, and their results will be visualised and aggregated in data overviews.
