Description
CIVIC facilitated the participation of all stakeholders in the evaluation of alternative transport and logistics measures that minimised disruptions and nuisance and improve energy efficiency.
Construction was required to create more attractive, sustainable and economically viable cities. This included the expansion of infrastructure, development of new residential areas and renovation of buildings. However, construction related transport caused negative impacts on people that live, work and/or travel in the vicinity of construction sites. It increased understanding among stakeholders on improved transport and generated smart governance strategies to support implementation of the CIVIC approach
Objective
Increase understanding among stakeholders on alternative transport and logistics measures that minimise disruptions and nuisance and improve energy efficiency.
