Description
The PCED of Lordelo do Ouro, located in a prime area of the city, includes a concentration of social housing districts and municipal facilities.
Demo Site Expected Impact
ASCEND will promote the first PCED in the city, encouraging the development of a large-scale renewable energy community, taking advantage of the energy efficiency measures already completed and the existing PV installations.
Technologies
Buildings and energy
Energy audits will be performed out to inform the city's intervention pipeline.
Mobility & Transport
A BRT line will be completed near the PCED and soft e-mobility points are already in place.
ICT
Porto already has an Urban Data platform and a digital twin will be implemented to monitor PCED energy data.
Positive (clean) energy district
All the actions planned for the site will lead to the development of the first PCED in Porto.
