Scalable Cities Secretariat is organizing another Roadshow training session, this time focused on Decarbonising District Heating Systems: A Case Study on Financial Modelling using Low-Grade Renewable Energy Sources, which will be taking place online on 6 June, 2025, from 09:00–12:00 CEST.
This participatory session is co-organised with the Covenant of Mayors and is ideal for city leaders, technical experts, and practitioners looking to apply real-world financial models to sustainable heating solutions.
The workshop will open with GNE Finance’s overview of urban decarbonization initiatives and the EU’s Cities Heat Detox campaign, then follow through the Low2High project’s roadmap for greener district heating in Eastern Europe and inspiring demos from Marseille and Tallinn. Financial and technical experts will outline retrofit planning, economic feasibility and funding strategies, and participants will conclude by evaluating low-grade renewable options in breakout groups.
