Better Together - Cities Forum Torino

The Smart Cities Marketplace is partnering up with the Covenant of Mayors Europe and the European Green City Accord for a joint stand at the Cities Forum Torino (16/17 March). Meet us at exhibition stand 8.

The Marketplace will showcase its services for cities and city consortia of the initiative complementing current EU efforts such as RePowerEU. At the stand, you can learn more about the complete catalogue of offers such as calls for free technical assistance, 1-to-1-consultancy services for city-led consortia close to the financing stage, financing masterclasses and a fine-tuned matchmaking for the financing of urban projects and intensified partnerships with other EU initiatives, such as the Covenant of Mayors, Scalable Cities, CIVITASLiving-in.eu.

Do you want to learn about the Smart Cities Marketplace in a session? The initiative will be promoted by DG ENER Policy Adviser Eero Ailio on the second day in parallel session 2 ‘Urban talk – Change the system not the climate’ I 17 March I 9:00-11:00.

Representatives from the Covenant of Mayors Office will showcase results from recent programmes and activities as well as opportunities for cities to work on 3 main objectives: Reducing GHG emissions by 55% by 2030; strengthening resilience; alleviating energy poverty.

The colleagues from the Green City Accord will promote the two urban initiatives of DG ENV: European Green Capital and Leaf Awards. This is a call for 2025 titles is open until the end of April. As well they will present the initiative itself, the European Green City Accord, launched in 2020 and with already 102 signatory cities involved.
