Scalable Cities Secretariat is thrilled to announce that the 10th Call for Visitor Cities is now open!
It is pleasure to reveal the Finish city of Espoo as the host city for this upcoming site visit taking place in September 11 - 12th, 2024 during the Final conference of the SPARCS project titled: "Sparking Transformation Towards Sustainable Cities".
This call presents an exceptional opportunity for visitor cities to gain insights into the achievements offered by the SPARCS project and the city of Espoo. Specifically, the event will offer the following highlights:
- Learn about the main achievements and results of the SPARCS interventions
- Dive deeper into the results and innovative solutions tested in Espoo
- Engage in peer-to-peer exchange with the city of Espoo
- Connect with SPARCS partners and stakeholders to learn about their activities and experiences within the project
- Explore on-site visits of demonstration areas in Sello (Leppävaara district) or Lippulaiva (Espoonlahti district)
- Share best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations for replication in visitor cities to catalyse their sustainable energy transformations
- Learn about the business and governance models developed by the SPARCS project
- Exchange with Espoo representatives and partners on their development of the new districts, Kera and Finno
- Participate in insightful and interactive workshops from Task Groups of the Scalable Cities
- Communities focusing on monitoring and evaluation, energy communities, business models and finance, and replication
Interested cities can apply by visiting the Scalable Cities website. On the website, cities can find comprehensive details and information in the Terms of Reference of the Call 10 for Visitor Cities. Simply complete the Application form and uploading it to the EU Survey Application Platform.
The deadline for submitting applications is July 26th, 2024 at 12.00 CET.
