The Smart Cities Marketplace team is again participating in this year’s Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), the premier global event for cities and urban innovation, taking place from 5-7 November 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.
On behalf of the European Commission, the Smart Cities Marketplace is coordinating the joint EC representation, featuring a diverse group of partners, initiatives, and projects. This collective presence, under the European Commission’s umbrella, aims to showcase a variety of urban and sustainable city activities from multiple perspectives. All partners share the common goal of fostering a European movement to adopt, replicate, and scale sustainable urban solutions, accelerating the delivery of the EU Green Deal and REPowerEU at the local level.

Our joint presence at SCEWC 2024 will include various activities:
Congress & Agora Sessions: Addressing relevant EC policies and cross-cutting topics, focusing on scaling up solutions across cities.
Stand Representation: Featuring an engaging booth program with sessions organized by attending projects and initiatives, supplementing and reinforcing the cross-cutting topics presented in Agora sessions.
Networking Spaces: Facilitating interaction with and promotion of the services of each partner project/initiative.
