Joint Scalable Cities & Smart Cities Marketplace Roadshow: Nature, Mobility, and Urban Sustainability: European cities towards Climate Neutrality

Roadshows 2025

The Scalable Cities Secretariat, in collaboration with the Smart Cities Marketplace, is organising a new Peer-to-Peer event, "Nature, Mobility, and Urban Sustainability: European cities towards Climate Neutrality," in Nea Smyrni, Greece, on 14-15 July 2025. The event is organised together with the host cities Nea Smyrni and Kifissia, Greece.

This in-person event will focus on scaling up energy communities as a key tool to guarantee the right to energy and enable a fair, inclusive energy transition, while showcasing citizen-led governance models and innovative financing mechanisms.

Cities can apply for reimbursement of up to €900 for travel, accommodation, and meals. Limited spots available!

What to expect at the event:

  • Nature-based urban solutions: Explore how cities are introducing local vegetation, creating climate shelters, and applying innovative business models and financing schemes to enhance resilience and biodiversity.
  • Sustainable mobility for liveable cities: Discover strategies like walkability, cycling infrastructure, e-mobility, and car sharing — all supported by inclusive financing models and scalable business cases.
  • Urban sustainability & citizen co-creation: Learn how cities are engaging residents in designing fair and green urban spaces, backed by participatory governance, business innovation, and new funding approaches.
