This 2-day international conference is taking place online and will give an overview of the current state of the art measures to achieve climate neutrality, closely linked to the results of SmartEnCity project. The 2nd day will be a virtual tour to the SmartEnCity demo sites Vitoria-Gasteiz, Tartu, and Sonderborg.

The virtual format opens up new, exciting opportunities to connect worldwide. This year's climate neutrality conference in Sonderborg discusses within the Triple Helix of academia, industry and society newest developments in technological solutions for solving climate issues, giving special focus to cities as frontrunners for a more sustainable planet and future.
The conference consists of joint plenary sessions and two parallel tracks with a focus on either technological solutions (track A) or societal aspects (track B), especially related to city engagement in climate change mitigation. Each track features three sessions with several inspiring presentations by invited speakers. Overall, there will be talks on a great variety of topics starting from new materials and photovoltaics via energy solutions and city involvement to climate engineering and business aspects.
