The Carbon Games

Description

The Carbon Games is a Lisbon-based company dedicated to fostering sustainable urban living through innovative technologies and citizen-centric solutions. Our work focuses on reducing transportation emissions, creating greener cities, and empowering collaborative urban development. We offer two primary solutions:

  1. SCIPLANT – XR-Powered Urban Planning
SCIPLANT is a transformative platform designed to revolutionize urban planning with immersive 3D visualizations, real-time data overlays, and citizen engagement tools. It uses Extended Reality (XR) to provide urban planners, architects, and municipalities with the ability to collaboratively design sustainable cities. Citizens can participate through virtual town halls and immersive tours of proposed developments.
Achievement: Awarded a grant by the European Union under the CORTEX2 call for its groundbreaking use of real-time data integration and role-based collaboration.
Key Benefits: Accelerates green urban transitions, reduces planning cycles, and fosters inclusive, citizen-focused decision-making.

  2. One-Click Carpooling Solution
This blockchain-powered carpooling platform reduces transportation emissions by promoting corporate and event-based carpooling. It features a simplified matching system, gamification elements, and the ability to convert CO2 savings into digital carbon credits ("insets").
    Achievements:
Winner of the NEARCON IRL Hackathon and NEAR MetaBUILD III for blockchain innovation.
Supported by grants from the NEAR Foundation, Dubai Expo Live Innovation Programme, and Clean Future Acceleration Program.
Key Benefits: Reduces urban congestion, incentivizes eco-conscious transportation, and creates a niche carbon offset marketplace.

Together, SCIPLANT and One-Click Carpooling are advancing urban decarbonization, mobility efficiency, and citizen inclusivity in line with the European Green Deal and the Sustainable Development Goals.
