Products and investments

The investment strategy of the Aquila Capital Energy Efficiency Fund is to construct a diversified portfolio of energy efficiency projects in Europe.

The energy efficiency projects will exclusively use proven technologies and solutions, including, but not limited to, co-generation plants, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, LED lighting solutions, efficient boilers and solar photovoltaic plants in self-consumption.

The Fund can invest in operating projects as well as projects ready to build.

The Fund will invest in energy efficiency projects with small, medium and large companies in the private sector and in the public sector, and with acceptable medium to long term credit quality determined with the support of an independent rating agency. The Fund will finance energy efficiency projects primarily through the upfront purchase of receivables originated through asset-backed contracts with duration typically between five and eight years.
