Description
We provide several satellite monitoring services (from every 15 minutes to daily/week/monthly measurements) of various environmental parameters (such as urban mapping with detailed green areas/trees and imperviousness, weather extreme events nowcasting, early mapping and moinitoring of flooded areas, terrain deformations, urban heat islands, air quality, land cover/use, wilde fire early detection and evolution monitoring/prediction, tree health status and others). We use all kind of satellite sensors (optical, multi-spectral, hyper spectral, Radar in various bands) and process data (aldo from aerial/drone surveys with various geometric resolution (from 3-5 cm aerial/drone to 1-5 km high revisit satellites ) and combine derived products with other geospatial information (geodatabases, maps, socio-economic data and mobile data captured from vehicle). Our services have a high value for money ,thanks to AI algorithms for information extraction and automated IT service value chains.
Contracts for R&D projects include:
- ESA / MAFIS (as Prime Contractor): for the development of methods for mapping and monitoring forest disturbances in both natural and urban environments
- ESA / ENTEL (as Prime Contractor): We established collaborative relationships with Terna, Snam, and Acea, which resulted in active operational contracts for infrastructure monitoring
- ESA / HUGS (as prime contractor):
The development of algorithms for Land Surface Temperature (LST) assessment led to the acquisition of an operational service contract under ESA/IRIDE-EOS4LPA (currently active across 52 Italian cities) for urban heat island monitoring.
- ESA / URBANA (as prime contractor): to test innovative application services which use both EO data and other kinds of data (e.g. mobile phone data, cadaster data
and open data) to develop and test innovative Urban analytics. Handling of Galileo-derived information and mobile phone transfer of data. had the opportunity to deal with many city administrations (Milan, Florence, Bergamo, Prato, Pesaro, San Benedetto del Tronto, Roma, Pescara, Barcelona, Zurich, Kosice, Hamburg) and has been
- Lazio Innova / Digital Twin City (as prime contractor): to develop a digital representation of a city landscape and some key parameters such as urban weather,
air/water pollution, as well as urban tree planning and management.
Contracts for market customers include:
− City Utility company: for the detection of fault lamps of the public lighting through an efficient sensing bar to be mounted on a car roof or over an e-bike.
- Transmission system Operator: for mapping all over Italy, the risk for population linked to possible network fault- Transmission System Operator: for posidonia mapping in relation to submarine pipeline installations in coastal areas
Italian Government IRIDE Earth Observation Program (as prime contractor): providing Land Surface Temperature four times/day over 52 Italian cities; tree health status of natural forests; implementation of a Toolbox for processing hyperspectral data in relation to various application domains; and a capacity-building (IRIDELab)project training 3,500 people from Local Public Administrations (decision makers, managers, technicians).
