The RISEnergy project, led by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and supported by the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA), has officially started with the goal of accelerating renewable energy technology development. RISEnergy aims to create a European ecosystem for innovation in renewable energy sources, covering photovoltaics, concentrated solar power, hydrogen, biofuels, and more. The consortium involves 69 institutes, universities, and industry partners from 22 countries. The project will run until August 2028 and will offer free access to 84 research infrastructures across multiple countries, promoting collaboration and innovation in renewable energy.
