European Citizens Panel on Energy Efficiency

You are invited to follow the first session of the European Citizens Panel on Energy Efficiency which takes place this weekend, 23-25 February. The Panel will bring together 150 randomly selected citizens from all 27 EU Member States – the youngest being 16 years old, the oldest 80 years old, with representatives of all paths of life: among them a farmer, a costume designer, a pilot, a doctor and a personal coach. During three Panel sessions, between February and April, they will discuss the challenges and benefits of energy efficiency, and how households, businesses, and communities can take action. The input they will provide will feed into a Commission Recommendation on the “Energy Efficiency First” Principle to be addressed to the Member States.
