Scalable Cities project STARDUST will be hosting its final event in Pamplona, Spain between 28th to 29th of February 2024.

STARDUST project is part of the Smart Cities and Communities family of project under the Scalable Cities. The project aims to transforming carbon supplied cities into smart, highly efficient and citizen oriented cities by developing an integrated approach that will be replicated across the EU. It combines a set of technical green solutions in the energy, mobility and ICT sectors and a series of non-technical solutions grounded on active stakeholder participation including citizen engagement and innovative business models. These actions are implemented in all three Lighthouse cities (Pamplona-Spain, Tampere-Finland and Trento-Italy) and being replicated in four Fellow cities (Cluj-Napoca-Romania, Derry-UK, Kozani-Greece, Litoměřice-Czech Republic).

The first day of the event will focus on the main achievements from the Lighthouse cities and the replication activities in the Fellow cities. Moreover, the attendees be presented with the key results, lesson learnt and the knowledge accumulated over the years. Several site visits are planned as well.

The second day will focus on the energy transition of cities with roundtables focusing on Positive Energy Districts, financial schemes and business models, and urban decarbonization roadmaps.

For cities interested in learning about the achievements of the STARDUST project, visiting demonstration sites in Pamplona, and engaging with consortium members, technical partners, and other visiting cities can now apply for the Scalable Cities Site Visit support programme.
