Description
The city of Trento has been classified annually as one of the top five Italian cities for providing optimal quality of life. It wishes to develop more energy-efficient buildings, a greener urban mobility scheme and novel energy resources to improve the welfare of its citizens.
Demo Site Expected Impact
The City of Trento plans to reduce carbon emissions, decrease the city's energy dependence on imported energy and improve its mobility.
Technologies
Buildings and energy
New retrofitting techniques and ICT based energy-efficienct systems will be installed to the different buildings in Trento. Also, new renewable energy resources and novel combined heating and cooling systems will be installed to boost the city's district heating network.
Mobility & Transport
The municipality will push for an Urban Mobility Plan by changing the behaviour of its citizens.
