Smart Cities Marketplace launches national outreach campaign in Czech Republic, Spain, and Germany

technical assistance

The Smart Cities Marketplace is aiming to empower municipalities across the Czech Republic, Spain, and Germany on their journey toward urban sustainability and innovation. This initiative is part of the broader “Go Local” campaign, designed to make the Marketplace's free technical assistance programme accessible to local authorities in their own language and tailored to their unique needs. With the help of the Covenant of Mayors, the Smart Cities Marketplace is looking for municipalities that want to start their sustainability journey to make their cities more livable.

What’s on Offer?

Municipalities in these countries can now apply for up to 20 days of free technical assistance (or 50 days for groups of municipalities) to help turn their climate and energy plans into concrete, impactful projects. The technical assistance covers:

  • Personalised consulting from leading experts in sustainable urban development
  • Support in planning, designing, and implementing smart city projects
  • Help to identify and secure funding through matchmaking services and financing masterclasses
  • Access to knowledge sharing, webinars, and a Europe-wide network of specialists

How to Apply

Municipalities are encouraged to visit the Smart Cities Marketplace website and contact the matchmaking team directly to apply for free technical assistance: matchmaking@smartcitiesmarketplace.eu
