Additionally, the session will address the various challenges and opportunities that are guiding the uptake of solutions in cities.

The Smart Cities Marketplace micromobility focus group session will bring together cities, researchers, and operators to identify challenges, share good practices, and co-create policy recommendations for safer and more sustainable shared e-scooters and bike systems. The session is chaired by Dorottya Szemere from the Budapest Institute of Technology.

It will also highlight the roles of urban initiatives such as the Covenant of Mayors, the Green City Accord, the Smart Cities Marketplace, and the Horizon Europe Missions in advancing urban transformation.
