The first Smart Cities Marketplace Masterclass of 2022 has taken place on 08 and 22 March. Participants were invited to discuss and present their smart city projects and learn how to make them bankable, mature, and successful.
The Masterclass was introduced and moderated by Jorge Rodrigues de Almeida and Eelco Kruizinga. On the 1st session (08 March 2022), a guest lecture on key matters considered by banks/investors when financing a project was provided by Michael Pachlatko from Joule Assets, and a case study of a smart city vision from Oporto region was presented. On the 2nd day (22/03/2022), Angelo Giordano talked about the synergies between Scalable Cities and SCM in terms of Intake, investors, and possible policy paper for the Missions, while Wouter van der Goot made a presentation about Due Diligence process.
The number of participants fluctuated a little bit between the 2 sessions and within a session, however they were around 14. With the masterclass, participants got tools and knowledge to assist them to shape their smart city project.
