Stakeholder survey on circular and smart cities

DigiCirc is an H2020 project and aims at boosting the circular economy through digital tools by supporting highly innovative SMEs in the development and uptake of solutions, products or processes based on circular value chains in different sectors and for the territories.

To achieve this objective, 90 SMEs will be selected through three open calls. They will get involved in acceleration programmes, including one focusing on Circular City, that will benefit from business coaching services, training, matchmaking and access to technical experimentation platforms to facilitate the use and integration of data.

You can support the preparation for this call by joining an online survey until September 4: https://form.jotformeu.com/202104066408343

The survey will help DigiCirc define the current challenges of the Circular City that will be included in the call for projects.

Background

The circular economy considers the entire life cycle of a product from its production, through its consumption, to the management of the waste produced.

It responds to multiple challenges such as dependence on increasingly scarce resources, lack of waste disposal, urbanisation, the resilience of a region and its economic attractiveness, the empowerment of citizens, etc.

In a simplified way, the Circular City is the notion of Circular Economy applied to a defined territory (city, region, etc.). Because of their scale and competences, territories are key players in the transition towards a circular economy by being privileged places of experimentation.
