We need all hands on deck to find inclusive and effective solutions to speed up our climate action, and this must include youth not only because young generations are precious resource but also because the ones that will live the future that current decisions will shape.
To support signatories in this difficult task, the Covenant of Mayors Office teamed up with the European Climate Pact Secretariat to design a webinar where inspiring experiences from cities and organizations, new approaches, ideas and tools will be shared.
As part of the European Climate Pact, various tools were initiated to promote youth involvement, such as the Youth Climate Pact Challenge, Peer Parliaments or Climate Fresk. The aim of the webinar organised by the Covenant of Mayors is to present those successfully implemented Climate Pact Tools and how they can be adapted to local level. To get further insights, young people who joined the initiatives will share their experience. Moreover, two cities will highlight their view on the importance of youth engagement in climate action.
